The countdown is on!

The countdown is on!

Bonjour mes amis!

In only 37 days, we will embark on our grand voyage à Paris.  Colin and I have been planning this vacation for more than a year, so now that it is actually within reach, I thought I would get this blog up and running by offering un coup d’œil into what it takes to plan such a trip!

We have always offered an open invitation to our close friends and family to join us on any of our adventures, but there have never been any takers...until now!  For this trip, we will have the pleasure of spending 7 days with my Mom and Dad in Paris!  This will be their first time out of the U S A.

Therefore, we gotta make it count!

Here is what we’ve done so far in the planning process, don’t worry, I will spare you most of boring the details:
  1. Bought airline tickets
  • Air France offers direct flights from Seatac airport to Charles de Gaul airport.  Easy.
  1. Found a place to call chez nous in a fantastic neighborhood through www.airbnb.com
  •  Click here to visit the site for our apartment in Paris

  4. We were thinking of going to Mont St Michel and Giverny, but both are either super inaccessible due to the season or completely closed for the season. :( Plan B is now London and Versailles!
